Q: Do CSA members need to do any work on the farm? A: No. We do welcome volunteers.
Q: Do I need a container? A: No. We provide two reusable bags for you. Each week you are to bring/leave your empty bag for us. If you have a hard time remembering to bring your bag, you can keep extra bags in your car and empty the vegetables into them and leave your Blue Marble Farm bag.
Q: Can I choose the vegetable I want in my box each week? A: We will send out a survey to learn your preferences. The CSA experience is to broaden your exposure to new vegetables.
Q: Is everything that Blue Marble Farm grows organic? A: We grow with respect for the environment and follow organic practices. We are not certified organic.
Q: What if I can not pick up my share? A: Logistically, we need you to adhere to your pick up day. We strongly advise that you find a friend or relative who can pick up your bag for you on days that you cannot.
Q: Do we forfeit our share if we do not pick up our bag on distribution day? A: In short, yes. If you are unable to have someone else pick up your bag and do not notify the farm of your situation, your bag will be brought back to the farm. You will possibly be able to pick it up at the farm.
Q: What kind of vegetables will be in the bags. A: The amount of produce will vary through out the growing season. The bags will start out small with an abundance of greens and end with heavy bags full of winter squash and root vegetables.
